Main Street Community Services is a registered charity that valiantly attempts to address a critical need by developing and implementing comprehensive, research based programs for children who are challenged by a disability or an exceptionality. We pride ourselves in a variety of services and programs that include: developmental respite, mentoring, social skills training, behaviour management, parent support programs, individual and family counselling, developmental play groups, developmental respite and a social skills day camp known as Discovered Treasures. The team at Main Street Community Services remains dedicated to broadening horizons, developing talents, promoting self-esteem and instilling life-preparation skills by extending a hand of hope to children youth and their families.

Mission Statement
Main Street Community Services is an incorporated not for profit agency and registered charity working in partnership with other distinguished community organizations such as Main Street Medical Centre to provide comprehensive social and health services. We are committed to the vision of individuals, families and communities to achieve whole health, social well being and community collectiveness.


Impact on the Community
Main Street Community Services is one of the largest privately run organizations for children with disabilities and exepctionalities. One particular highlight of our services is our developmental respite and a social skills day camp which has provided a specialized therapeutic program to over 150 children in past years and continues to grow strong! We are dedicated to providing all of our children with opportunities for skill development, healthy relationship building and recreation. All of which are critical for children with Disabilities.

News & Events

4th Annual Used Book Sale
Dawg FMWe need your donations of books for our 4th Annual used book sale. We are looking for post-1990 novels, cookbooks, gardening books, children’s books, self-help books, fiction, non-fiction, etc.

Please no manuals, periodicals, magazines, encyclopedias, condensed books or text books.

The sale will be held October 19 to 21 at the Stittsville District Lion's Club, 1339 Stittsville Main Street.

Volunteers will be needed to make this event a success. Help with set up, restocking, sales, and take down will be required. Contact Christine by
